What eye makeup and shades are you wearing??? I loooooove the color. We all have skincare, makeup, hair care, and nail polish products that work for some of us but not for others. I did a post on my favorite mascaras today, but I don’t think that they’ll work for everyone because my eye shape and lashes are different. I know that you didn’t like the vit C 30 Suspension from The Ordinary that I’m finishing up. But after getting a sting the first day I used it, I read the directions and they said to use it as a last step on top of everything else I use. Stinging problem solved. I most likely won’t repurchase it, however, because vitamin C can’t remove my most stubborn dark spots though maybe I’ll get it again someday for general brightening. I completely understand that you can be disappointed by skincare products. Good thing they’re cheap!

I wish they sold The Ordinary at the Sephora or other stores coz it’s not worth spending the money to return them. But without hearing the bad as well as the good, we don’t know which products to avoid. I think it was MakeupAlley that I went to or maybe it was The Ordinary’s website to read about the vitamin C 30 and 23, and there were plenty of negative reviews as well as positives. It’s important or why bother blogging!

Thank you! These are all from a Sephora haul last week – the eyeshadows are Givenchy. Will do a haul video shortly. Ugh, the Vit C 23% stings even when I use it as a last-step, and I can’t really afford to use it at the end, with my severe hyperpigmentation. Yes, they’re so cheap that these not working doesn’t hurt so much (though I like the majority of their products)!

I hoarded a lot from this brand when it first came out. I only liked one, rosehip oil, the rest aren’t worth the hype.

  3. Lola Seicento says:

Believe it or not, I still haven’ tried anything from The Ordinary yet. There is no question that what works for one person’s skin won’t necessarily work well for someone else. For that matter, what works for me some of the time won’t necessarily be my best product choice for my skin all of the time. I do agree with you, if something doesn’t work for your skin there is no reason to keep using it!

Yes! A K-beauty product that worked well during my dry phase, is now breaking me out! The skin is such an unpredictable organ.
